Bison Meat Hunts

To manage our Bison heard we have every year a few Bison cows and young Bison bulls available for meat hunts. Those bulls make nice shoulder mounts and the hides may be tanned for robes. Hunting is done the same way as described in Trophy Bison hunts. We start hunting Bison bulls in October and start hunting Bison Cows in late November till after Christmas.

The average Bison cow will have a dressed carcass weight of around 500 pounds, give or take 50 pounds. That is hanging weight without head, hide and guts removed. If you choose to take a heifer the carcass weight will be less. The bulls we are hunting for meat are about 3 years old with dressed weight of around 600 pounds. We will do all the skinning for you and split the carcass for better cooling and easy transport to your home or meat processor.

Bison meat is naturally raised, no growth hormones or antibiotics being used. This grassfed meat is delicious, healthy and organic. Feel your freezer and your family will enjoy this tasty meat for many months to come.
