TATONKA FLATS bison preserve is located in northern Alberta, about an 1 ½ hour drive north of Edmonton, Alberta. Our bison share the preserve with other wild animals that are free ranging and found in this part of Alberta.
The wilderness is a mostly treed, rolling landscape with grassy meadows and beaver ponds, as well as spruce muskegs. There are a number of cut lines and trails allowing us good access to hunt on foot or with the use of an ATV.
The hunts are fair chase, mostly spot and stalk, or by the use of our heated tower blinds. During the winter months, tracking the bison in the snow, is a challenging, but very rewarding way to hunt.
